Do you need help getting a Class 1 license and starting an exciting career with a progressive, growing and successful bulk Transportation Company?

Lomak is looking for motivated people looking to achieve their Class 1 license for their Mackenzie Terminal.

Based out of Mackenzie, BC terminal and reporting to the Driver Supervisor, these individuals must be motivated and have an excellent safe work record.  In order to maintain and promote a health and safe work environment, Lomak conducts pre-employment medical and drug screens in our hiring practices.

Must have a clean driver abstract and hold a Class 3 or 5 license, have a Class 1 learners license with air brake endorsement. Paid orientation and training!

Qualifications

  • 1.5 year commitment contract;
  • Positive attitude, work ethic, and job performance;
  • Reliable team-player with the ability to problem solve;
  • Effective communication skills and time management.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Safely operate and drive tractor including super B trailers;
  • Follow safe work practices and procedures;
  • Work safely and use appropriate PPE;
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, and brakes;
  • Strong customer service and ability to interact positively with customers;
  • Communicate with driver supervisor and other drivers using communication devices.

  • Represented by CLAC Union with an excellent labor relationship;
